Our Story:
We are friends who moved from the conflict zone to the Salintsi ecovillage. Here we decided to turn our passion for bicycles into a workshop. With support from Jen Ukraine, we opened VeloSelo — a place where bicycles are more than transport, they are our way of life.
- Bicycle Repair in the Community- We repair both regular mechanical and electric bicycles.- We organize free repair events for vulnerable groups.- We restore donated bicycles from Europe and pass them on to those in need.- Cycling Trips – we organize bike tours and rides.- Everyday Cycling – we are active bicycle users in our daily lives.- Experimenting with Bike Trailers – testing their use for household needs.- Consultations – we provide advice on converting regular bicycles into electric ones.

For us, bicycles are more than transport – they are a lifestyle.
Almost every day, Viktoriya rides up to 60 km, taking her child to kindergarten and back.
Even deliveries to the post office are done by bike – using a customized bicycle trailer.
We've made cycling a regular part of our daily lives and have become well-known in our region. We repaired and distributed over 20 humanitarian bicycles to people in need.We provided free repairs to five families, including elderly and military families. We've gained valuable experience in bicycle repair and modification. We've explored our local area and created cycling routes for various skill levels and needs. We've expanded our fleet of bicycles to organize cycling tours and trips

Location: We have a dedicated workshop space, though it is currently limited in size.Tools: We are equipped with a full set of tools for bicycle repair and maintenance.Team: We have a motivated and experienced team dedicated to our mission.Bicycle Fleet:3 e-bikes6 mechanical bicycles for group tours and trips1 bicycle trailerRaw Materials: We have a supply of spare parts, including old frames and wheels, which we use for repairs and new projects.

Currently, our workshop space is limited, hindering our ability to operate effectively. We lack the space needed to repair more bikes and properly store our fleet and spare parts. Our solution is to build a bicycle hub that combines:A larger workshop to increase our repair capacity and provide a dedicated space for creative projects and experiments.Secure storage for our fleet of bicycles used for tours and humanitarian aid, as well as for our inventory of spare parts.A small hostel to serve as a rest stop for travelers and a meeting point for our team, fostering collaboration and new ideas.

Required Amount: To implement our bicycle hub (workshop + hostel) with an area of approximately 70 square meters, we need funding to purchase building materials.Estimated Budget: from €15,000.Important: This amount is an estimate and is calculated based on the use of simple, eco-friendly materials like adobe. Actual costs may vary depending on regional prices, the amount of work done by volunteers, and the final choice of specific materials. We are committed to ensuring full transparency in the use of every euro and are ready to provide a detailed cost estimate after the project design phase is complete.
